Why domains and email come before automation
Automation needs a trustworthy identity before it needs more agents. A company domain establishes where its website lives, who controls its DNS, and which systems may send mail on its behalf.
Domain ownership is the root boundary
The registrar controls registration, renewal, locks, contacts, and transfers. DNS controls websites, APIs, verification records, and mail routing. Keeping those responsibilities explicit makes recovery possible when a provider or deployment fails.
Email is operational infrastructure
Email is not only a marketing channel. It carries account confirmations, support requests, invoices, domain notices, and recovery messages. A useful system needs verified inbound and outbound delivery, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, suppression, and durable mailbox storage.
Automation comes after verification
Once ownership and communication work, software and marketing automation can safely create previews, request approvals, publish bounded changes, and measure outcomes. Without that foundation, a successful build can still leave the company unable to communicate or recover access.
